Is a legal coach the same thing as having a lawyer on retainer?
No, a legal coach doesn’t go on record as your lawyer and they do not require a large retainer. They are fully trained and licensed lawyers that you pay to do discrete tasks that you instruct them to do based on your priorities and budget combined with their advice. Your coach makes sure you have the tools and knowledge you need to competently represent yourself in a legal issue while also supporting you with materials and strategic choices.
